Instead of glossy charts and visuals, the Forum for Sustainable Architecture offers honest and open accounts of front-line experience from start to finish, as well as no-nonsense insights into current conditions and design possibilities. The emphasis is on planning strategies that revolve around climate-friendly design scenarios and selecting suitable materials for sustainable projects. The event ends on a high note with the presentation of the German Sustainability Award for Architecture. The Forum for Sustainable Architecture will take place for the first time ever on 27 November 2025 at the Bundeskunsthalle (Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany) in Bonn. The event is being jointly organised by the DGNB and the Architektenkammer NRW (Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia).
