Circular Building

Expand your knowledge with DGNB Academy seminars for continuing education in the topic area of 'Circular Building'

The resources we use are too valuable, energy and CO2 intensive to be wasted or thrown away. The concept of circular building is a solution to preserve the quality and economic value of buildings and materials and to reduce the amount of waste. For long-term use and reuse, circular material flows need to be planned at the design stage and dismantling needs to be seen as a source and store of materials.

How can circular building be promoted in practice? What are the challenges and how can they be overcome? And what methods and tools help to implement a circular built environment?

The DGNB seminars on 'Circular Building' deal with the reuse of building components and materials from demolition, the DGNB building resource passport as a planning tool, legal fundamentals and solutions for the reuse of building components and handling existing buildings in terms of building transformation.
