"ESG and Future Reliability"

in the topic area "ESG and Future Reliability"

Regulatory requirements at national and European level are increasingly influencing the construction and real estate industry in Germany. Ecological and socio-cultural aspects, as well as sustainable management, must be taken into account by market participants. This also has an impact on the future prospects of companies in the sector and buildings themselves. Meeting ESG criteria not only secures access to financing and funding. Implementing sustainability criteria can also increase the value of a property and preserve it in the long term – long-term usability is also a prerequisite for ensuring that buildings are and remain fit for the future.

How should the "S" and "G" of the ESG criteria be interpreted for the construction and property sector? How can physical and transitory climate risks for buildings and sites be identified and assessed? What needs to be considered in sustainability reporting? And what is important in terms of sustainability in selection procedures for the implementation of construction projects?

The DGNB seminars on "ESG and Future Reliability" will cover the social and governance aspects of ESG, the assessment and financing of real estate with regard to climate change impacts, the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the system for sustainability requirements in planning competitions (SNAP).
