A place to come together

The DGNB's premises at Caleido on Tübinger Straße in Stuttgart aim to showcase sustainable construction. With the support of around 30 DGNB members and other partners, the office was converted into a living showroom for sustainable construction in July 2014. In 2026, it was redesigned with the involvement of 14 DGNB members and partners. The premises have been transformed into a meeting place for the association’s activities, showcasing the advantages of sustainably designed and built spaces to visitors and staff. The DGNB-certified office building Caleido provides the ideal conditions for this. Its interior design, based on DGNB principles such as user comfort, environmental sustainability and life-cycle assessment, complements this approach.

Guided tours for all interested parties

Since 7 July 2014, guided tours have been available to all interested parties, including DGNB members, sustainability experts, members of the public, and DGNB staff. Visitors can discover the practical applications of sustainable construction and its benefits for people, the environment and running costs by taking a guided tour of the building. Please give us advance notice of your visit.

Guided tours for school and university student groups: This offer also extends to school and university student groups as an introduction to sustainable building.

Sustainability brought to life at the DGNB office

Throughout the DGNB Living Showroom, visitors can discover how sustainability shapes the design and fit-out of the office and how it is lived out in everyday working life: from carpet tiles made of recycled fishing nets, to biodynamic lighting, to the use of greywater for toilet flushing throughout the entire Caleido office building. Parts of an old trade fair stand have also found a second life at the office and have been in continued use here for years – whether repurposed as a table in the staff kitchen or as an acoustic panel on the wall!
