This training course introduces Cradle to Cradle Certified®, a globally recognised certification programme that helps organisations to design and improve products and processes for key impact areas: material health, product circularity, clean air & climate protection, water & soil stewardship and social fairness.
Illustrated by real-world examples of Cradle to Cradle Certified® products, you will explore the Cradle to Cradle® framework behind the standard and learn how organisations across industries are using Cradle to Cradle Certified® as a practical tool to apply circular economy principles, drive innovation and create measurable impacts. Cradle to Cradle Certified® also connects to other sustainability frameworks and certification systems, including DGNB, helping organisations navigate sustainability requirements across different markets.
Whether you are new to circular product design or looking to deepen your expertise, this training course will provide the foundations needed to take action. By completing it, you will become Cradle to Cradle Certified® Professional. Equipped with a deeper understanding of Cradle to Cradle Certified®, you will be better positioned to explore how the programme can support your organisation's sustainability ambitions, drive meaningful change through products and processes and create new market opportunities at the same time.
The training course takes place on the DGNB's digital learning platform in English.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is a voluntary, third-party certification that identifies products designed for a healthy and circular economy, recognising achievements across multiple sustainability categories based on life cycle thinking.
This training course is being held in collaboration with the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2CPII).

With explanatory videos, text and interactive quizzes, our digital learning platform allows you to learn at your own pace and work through the content independently. You will have access to the training course for 4 weeks during the booked period. We recommend that you allow approximately 3 hours for the course.
You will receive your access details for the learning platform two working days in advance of the training’s starting date. You can access the learning platform with a standard internet browser. No download is required. Optionally, you can use the associated app to learn on the go.
