Our assessment

After reviewing the label in accordance with the DGNB requirements, we have come to the following conclusion: The "eco-INSTITUT" label is recognised for criterion "ENV1.2 Risks for the local environment" as evidence of the requirements for emissions according to the table above.

The justification

The eco-INSTITUT awards the eco-INSTITUT label to low-pollutant and low-emission building products and furniture and contributes to the transparency of building products for the consumer. The label particularly supports health and ecological aspects in the field of construction.

The criteria for the award of the eco-INSTITUT label are open to the public and are regularly updated by eco-INSTITUT Germany GmbH on the basis of new findings and standards without the involvement of third parties. Verification of compliance with the label's award criteria is carried out on the basis of a product sample taken by an independent body in consultation with the eco-INSTITUT. The eco-INSTITUT, which is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025, carries out the testing of the sample. The label holder and the auditor are not legally or financially independent of each other. If a label holder does not comply with the label award criteria, the certification certificate and the eco-INSTITUT label lose their validity. The label is awarded for a period of two years. Accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065 is pursued and promoted by the eco-INSTITUT-GmbH.

Recognition of the eco INSTITUT label is based on the proof of equivalence submitted by the label provider.
The basis for the recognition is the criterion "ENV1.2 - Risks for the local environment" in the version 2018; the recognition is limited to the verification of lines 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 20, 23, 47a, 48 - New building and indoor criteria matrix (Appendix 1) and lines 1 and 2 - Indoor criteria matrix (Appendix 2).

Scope of validity

The recognition is valid for the certification level "certified" of the eco-INSTITUT label and is valid for one year from the date of issue of this test report, i.e. until 20 December 2024.
After the expiry date, the recognition of the certification level "certified" will be reviewed by the eco-INSTITUT on the basis of confirmations or possible subsequent submissions.
