The DGNB currently has about 1,200 members.
The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) was founded on 25 June 2007 by architects, planners, manufacturers of construction products, investors and scientists. The driving force was a group of initiators who had been working on questions relating to sustainable building for a long time. These include:
