World Green Building Week

World Green Building Week

17 to 21 September 2012

80 nations – 1 thought.

The World Green Building Council holds the World Green Building Week once a year. Member organizations in more than 80 countries around the world are invited to organize special events during this week. The task of these events is to make the general public more aware of sustainable building as a necessity and as an opportunity to better protect our environment.

"Green Buildings for Great Communities"

Several DGNB certified urban districts from Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart will present themselves during the World Green Building Week. Guided tours through the urban districts, talks and discussions will illustrate the importance of sustainability. Following the future trend of sustainable urban development, the DGNB working group will meet and refine the scheme “Urban Districts”. The DGNB will not only be present nationally but also internationally. An Introduction to the DGNB System will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
